The Rule 6.1 Society

Rule 6.1 of the Virginia State Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct encourages attorneys to dedicate at least 2% of their professional time annually to pro bono public legal services—equivalent to about 40 hours per year.

To honor attorneys who meet this goal, LSNV established the Rule 6.1 Society. Members who perform at least 40 hours of pro bono work annually receive:

  • A distinguished lapel pin
  • A frameable certificate of appreciation
  • Recognition on the LSNV website

Membership levels reflect ongoing dedication:

  • Bronze Member: First year of qualification
  • Silver Member: Second year of qualification
  • Gold Member: Three or more years of qualification

Join the Rule 6.1 Society and be recognized for your commitment to justice and service to our community.
We are so grateful to all of these generous and dependable partners in justice!!!
